Project Description:
A non-mechanical covered in-ground anaerobic digester has been installed to capture and destroy methane emanating from a previously uncovered dairy lagoon. The lagoon is not required to be covered by any state, national or local regulations. The bio-gas is used to generate electricity. The power is sold to a local utility under an agreement which does not include the green attributes. A back-up flare has also been installed.
